JDS' HD Revanna, Named In Karnataka Sex Scandal, Seeks Pre-Arrest Bail

A day after a havan at his home, JDS leader HD Revanna, named in a sex scandal alongside son Prajwal, has filed for a pre-arrest bail.

A huge cache of explicit videos and photographs, allegedly belonging to Prajwal have gone viral on the social media, following which the Karnataka government constituted a Special Investigation Team or SIT on the request of Karnataka State Commission for Women to investigate the matter. 

As per the complaint, the victim has claimed that Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna had sexually assaulted her. Revanna is the grandson of party supremo and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.

His father, HD Revanna, who is also an accused in the case, said, "I came to know that notice has been put; I'm ready to face anything; I'm ready to face SIT."

Son Prajwal, who is abroad, has sought a week's time to appear before the SIT in connection with the alleged 'obscene video' case.

The Karnataka Home Minister, speaking to the media on Thursday, said that a look-out notice has been issued in the case.
